Before I start with my top 10 movies blog. I want to give a few movies a mention that just missed out on my top 10. Just to make clear I love all these movies and they all could easily be on my list, however this is just a personal opinion of mine.

• The Irishman – I really enjoyed my time with The Irishman, it’s a classic Martin Scorsese movie about the life of Frank Sheeran, an Ex WW2 Veteran and Hitman. This movie is brilliant, music, acting and cinematography is all second to none as expected for a Scorsese, however the reason it misses out for me is that it really does drag in places for me with its massive run time. But still nevertheless it’s still a great movie and is definitely worth watching.

• Parasite – Bong Joon Ho pulled off a master class with this movie, being the first foreign film to win best picture at the Oscars is remarkable. It’s so intricate and has such a level of depth I haven’t seen in a movie for a long time. The story is about 2 families set in South Korea, one of the families are rich, The Parks and the other is poor, the Kims. The Kims con their way into working for the Parks in different roles but get a little more more than what they Bargained for as the story progresses. The film is filled to the bring with metaphors and has a lot to say about classism in society. Definitely worth your time and not one to miss.

• Rocketman – This film I had high hopes for, I absolutely loved Bohemian Rhapsody, the biopic of Freddie Mercury’s life as well as the members of Queen. So coming into this film I just wanted more of the same and by god we did. This film is a little more of a Musical than Bohemian Rhapsody granted, but it doesn’t take away from it for me. I love the sass of this movie, the colour palette and sets of every scene are amazing and every performance is top draw especially Taron Egerton who plays Elton John in the movie, he really portrays him perfectly as I’d imagine. I’m not a huge fan of Elton John’s music but this film was still great and I had a lot of fun with it.
